LIFE IS BUSY, DUTY CALLS.

Since I’ve been absent these pages, Jim thinks I should let people know what is going on in my life.
There is before taxes and now, after, taxes. Pre-trip details to ready. Also working on a new computer, and a new printer. The printer had to be shipped back. It weighs 45 pounds!!
I’ve been taking pictures of items I’ve purchased to place with receipts because my insurance will not cover them without receipts, should something happen. One of those things a person should do as you go, but I didn’t.
Also fielding the progress and problems with building a new place in Oregon.
Getting ready to leave for my trip to Turkey, means my housemate must be ready to take care of things while I’m gone. Jim will move on after I leave.
I’m also intent upon scanning pictures from my trip to Africa and Portugal and Spain and getting those old trips ready to blog. (Haven’t started yet.)  Some of the pictures, and experiences were pretty fantastic.  I think the accident made me realize how short life is and if you really want to do something, better get at it.
Now you know.

MEET AND DINE AND DON'T WHINE.

There are times the only opportunity I get to be with some friends is at a meeting. Pam Quyle's hours are long, John and Wanda Hofstetter stick close to home when they are home or they go away for months at a time, like me.

So, even if we have business, it makes sense to have some social time and enjoy a meal together. Wanda brought us a beautiful dessert.

It was quite nice since most of my day was taxes, insurance, logistics on the new building in Oregon,  problems at the television studio with their brand new equipment, and so it went. In fact, the new equipment was part of the reason for the meeting.  Resolutions in sight.

My seven-foot long table is covered with paperwork. Hopefully by next week we'll actually be able to eat there. Oh, oh!  I think I'm whining.

Time to appreciate my Christmas poinsettia. I love them because they keep their bright beauty until late July. Cheers.

SOME THINGS DON'T WORK OUT.

I finally found a fix on-line for my Picasa program’s inability to upload my photos. It turns out, it is a problem with Picasa. I went through their fix, but it didn’t work for me. So, I’m back to square one. It takes too long to blog each morning and still get accomplished what I’ve returned home to do. Mainly, get my medical file with the doctor’s signature to have my expenses reimbursed from the accident in May; taxes finished; and a new building designed, permitted, etc. on my Oregon Property; plus theraputic exercise each morning. Conclusion, I’ll be blogging sporadically for awhile. I’m absolutely jealous that I’m not in Natchez with the friendly folks Jim is having fun with.

I can always reach back in time and put up an old picture I liked such as this "mudbug".
