UP A LAZY RIVER WHERE WE BOTH CAN DREAM

That song, Up The Lazy River keeps drumming through my head because here we sit on the banks of the Snohomish watching the fish jump, the leaves bob and river traffic. The folks on this pontoon boat are having a great time, just lazing and swimming, and don't I wish it was me? You bet I do. It tickled me to see him using his cell phone. Oh, yes, it's 2009. If you click on the photo it enlarges it for detail.

These folks were moving so fast I barely got my camera out of its case and focused. They appeared to be fisherfolk.

This guy and gal made several passes, fishing all the way. He steered, she fished. She steered and he fished. They must have been having good luck, because they were hot at it every minute.
And then, as day gave way to evening, this gorgeous sunset. Life on the road is good!
Up a lazy river by the old mill stream
That lazy, hazy river where we both can dream
Linger in the shade of an old oak tree
Throw away your troubles, dream a dream with me

Up a lazy river where the robins song
Wakes up in the mornin, as we roll along
Blue skies up above ....everyones in love
Up a lazy river, how happy we will be, now
Up a lazy river with me

Up a lazy river by the old mill run
That lazy, lazy river in the noon day sun
You can linger in the shade of that fine ole tree
Throw, away your troubles, baby, dream with me

Up a lazy river where the robins song
Wakes a brand new mornin as we roll along
There are blue skies up above...and as long as were in love
Up a lazy river, how happy we could be
If you go up a lazy river with me
Ah said with me now.....goinup that... lazy river..... with me
